New Social Housing
Project: New Housing, Ladhope Mills, Galashiels
Client: Eildon Housing Association
The project comprised the construction of 54 three and four person apartments across 6 blocks on a brownfield riverside site.
The contract incorporated extensive site remediation and careful screening of demolition material to maximise recycling as infill material to raise the site levels.
The new build apartments are traditionally constructed across six blocks including a five storey feature block with pedestrian bridge walkway links.
The completed development recently won the ‘Riverside Development of the Year’ at the prestigious Scottish Homes Awards 2011.
